The Sept 20-21 shows went great!  Great visits with people and prayer requests.  Crowds were bigger. Sat night was youth night and we had a lot of enthusiastic youth groups. Thanks to Rudy, Glenda and others who Friday night did setup and tore down and led the Prayer Tent since Gary was at his 40th HS reunion in Jacksboro (yep he's that old!).

Fri Sept 27 - Normal show and gates open 6:30pm

Sat Sept 28 - Cowboy Night and gates open 6:30pm. We have a chance of rain for Sat so pray for dry weather.

Instructions for setting up and tearing down Prayer Tent

If this is not perfect that is ok! All is good!

Gates normally open at 6:30pm Friday but it can open earlier for special events. Tent should be set up before gate open if possible. See photos of tables below.

SETUP TENT

If it is raining:
1. Get all boxes off the floor in chairs.
2. Move tables, chairs and couches that have materials on them a little toward the center of the tent so materials doesn't get wet.
3. Move outside table (with Books of John and Prayer Resources) and signs that lean against that table inside.
4. Close back tent flags so fan does need get wet.
5. Leave other signs out including the 4 signs hung on the tent and the 2 signs near Gift Shop and Jewish Market - these are water proof.

Normal things to do in order:
1. Open back tent flaps so fan can pull air from outside, and plug in fan.
2. Set up all tables. Contents of each table is in boxes on top of that table.
3. Put table outside beside the plant if it is not too windy.  If it is too windy or raining, put table inside tent.  Put double sign in front of outside table on ground. If sign falls over there should be a bungee cord (maybe in box on that table) to hold it in place.
4. Put extra boxes on floor behind furniture.
5. If there is a baptism, I have baptism certificates printed in one of the extra boxes.
6. Sweep tent floor if needed. Push broom is in closet just inside exit of the men's restroom.
7. Put 2 text prayer request signs leaning against wall near gift shop and near other walkway near Jewish Market.
8. Plug in lights when needed.
9. Fill ice chest with ice and water bottles. `

TEAR DOWN TENT AT END OF SHOW

Friday night
1. We leave all tables set up with materials. Maybe move tables a little toward center of room in case of rain.
2. Put all extra boxes that are on the floor on chairs and couches in case it rains.
3. Move chairs and couches that have materials on them a little to middle of tent in case of rain.
3. Close flap at back of tent so fan does not get wet in case of rain.
4. Leave other signs out including the 4 signs hung on the tent and the 2 signs near Gift Shop and Jewish Market - these are water proof.

Results of Sept 13-14 and planning for Sept 20-21

Last weekend was cooler with bigger crowds.  We had good visits to prayer tent and the Prayer Team is doing well.  We are receiving some prayer texts and the table outside the tent in getting visited a lot. Results of Sept 6-7 Weekend

It was HOT!  Over 10 degrees both nights.  The hot weather kept most visitors away so the shows had small attendance.   But our Prayer Tent experience really good.  Rudy was tired, sat in a chair, and prayed that God would bring someone to him to pray with.  God answered multiple times!  Rudy suggests we all pray this prayer for God to bring someone to us. We also had some really good visitors such a young veteran who got a hip injury in the war and has a Purple Heart and Bronze Star medal, a former Dallas firefighter for 39+ years, a mostly Spanish-speaking man who was seeing promise for first time and was so overly impressed that he wants to return and bring the rest of his extended family, and a few cast members with prayer requests.  Lots of visitors are taking resources (Books of John and Prayer Resources) from outside table.  It will just get better if we stay prayerful and with greater attendance!

Weather was great and so we're the shows.  We had a small crowd Friday but good activity in Prayer Tent.  Saturday starting at 4pm was the big Open Doors event including baptizing 191 people.  Our work day was long but eventful with lots of visitors to Prayer Tent.  We baptized a young women after the show; she drove 4 hours and arrived at intermission to baptized at the Promise.
